In short

Seamless gutter installation in the Tucson metro is run-on-site extrusion of aluminum gutters to the exact length of your roofline — no horizontal seams, no segmented joints to fail. We install on new construction, re-roof projects, and as standalone replacement of failed sectional gutters. We don't repair existing gutters — only new installs. Aluminum (.027 or .032 gauge), color-matched to your fascia, hidden hangers, downspouts sized for Tucson monsoon volumes. 1–2 days for most residential.

Plain English

Seamless gutters, in plain English.

A seamless gutter is a single continuous run of aluminum (or steel, less common in Tucson) extruded from a machine on site to the exact length of your roofline. No horizontal seams means no failure points — the only joints are at corners and downspouts, sealed with manufacturer-grade sealant. Compared to sectional gutters (10-foot pieces snapped together), seamless lasts longer, leaks less, and looks cleaner. We only do new installs. We don't patch, re-seal, or repair gutters from other installs.

Local conditions

What Tucson conditions need from gutters.

Three things from the field —

  1. I

Tucson monsoon dumps a lot of water fast.

Tucson's monsoon storms aren't sustained drizzle — they're brief intense bursts. A 2-inch storm in 30 minutes is normal. Gutter sizing has to handle the burst, not just the daily average. We default to 5-inch K-style with 2x3 downspouts on smaller roofs, 6-inch with 3x4 on larger or steeper roofs.

  2. II

Dust and debris accumulation matters here.

Tucson dust events and palo verde / mesquite debris accumulate in gutters faster than most climates. Seamless aluminum doesn't develop the rust-pitting that traps debris in sectional steel gutters, but annual cleaning is still worth it. We can include cleaning as part of an annual maintenance plan.

  3. III

Foundation protection on Tucson clay soils.

Tucson's expansive clay soils heave when wet — uncontrolled monsoon water against the foundation causes shifting and cracking that homes without gutters see disproportionately. Properly sized downspouts with extensions or splash blocks directing water 4+ feet from the foundation is the highest-value gutter detail in this climate.

Signs to call

When you need gutter work.

  1. 01New construction — gutters installed during the build.
  2. 02Re-roof project — fresh gutters installed alongside the new roof.
  3. 03Existing sectional gutters that are leaking, sagging, or have failed at the seams.
  4. 04Remodel or addition that's adding gutter coverage.
  5. 05No gutters and Tucson monsoons are causing foundation issues on expansive clay soils.

Our approach

How a seamless gutter install goes.

Step-by-step from inspection to walkthrough — the approach we follow on every job.

  1. 01

Drone measurement and roof assessment — we measure runs, slope, and downspout placement before the truck arrives.

  2. 02

Aluminum (or specified steel) extruded on site to exact lengths. The extrusion machine is mounted on our truck.

  3. 03

Hidden hangers, not spike-and-ferrule. Better long-term hold, cleaner look, no nail-pop pressure on fascia.

  4. 04

Corners mitered and sealed with manufacturer-grade sealant. Downspouts sized to handle Tucson monsoon volumes — 2x3 standard, 3x4 for larger roofs.

  5. 05

Final walkthrough with manufacturer warranty registration.

The spec

Materials and what shapes the price.

Timeline —Most residential seamless-gutter installs run 1–2 working days. Larger custom homes with extensive runs and multiple downspouts can run 3 days. We extrude on site so there's no manufacturing lead time — schedule is typically 2–4 weeks out depending on time of year.

What affects the cost —

  1. 01

Linear footage of gutter runs — most jobs scale by foot.

  2. 02

Material gauge — .032 aluminum vs standard .027 affects per-foot cost.

  3. 03

Downspout count and size — 2x3 standard vs 3x4 for larger roofs.

  4. 04

Color match — standard catalog colors vs custom matching to existing fascia.

Gutter shortcuts that fail Tucson monsoons — what we don't do.

  1. Spike-and-ferrule hanging.

The cheapest hanging method is a long nail-and-ferrule through the gutter into the fascia. Over years, the spikes back out and the gutters sag. Hidden hangers (interior brackets that screw into the fascia) hold better, look cleaner, and don't damage fascia over time. Modest cost difference; meaningful longevity.

  2. Undersized downspouts for monsoon volumes.

Some installers use 2x3 downspouts on larger or steeper roofs because they're cheaper. For Tucson monsoon volumes those undersize and overflow at the corners. We size to the roof — 2x3 for most residential, 3x4 for larger or steeper.

  3. Sectional gutters instead of seamless.

Sectional gutters come in 10-foot pieces snapped together. Every joint is a failure point. Seamless extrudes the full run on site — only joints are at corners and downspouts. Seamless costs marginally more; lasts decades longer with fewer leaks.

  4. Repairing failed sectional gutters instead of replacing.

Sectional-gutter repair (re-sealing seams, re-tightening spikes) typically fails again within a year or two — the underlying joints are still failure points. We don't do gutter repair; we replace with seamless. Cleaner long-term outcome.

Seamless gutters, common questions.

The questions we hear most before homeowners sign — pricing, timing, materials, warranty.

01

Do you repair existing gutters?

No — we only do new installs. If your existing gutters are leaking, sagging, or have failed at the seams, we'll replace them with seamless. We don't patch, re-seal, or repair sectional gutters from other installs because those repairs typically fail again within a year or two — better to replace.

02

Do you only install seamless gutters?

Yes — seamless aluminum (or steel for commercial) only. Sectional gutters have too many failure points for our standards. We extrude on site to the exact length of your roofline so there are no horizontal seams.

03

How long do seamless aluminum gutters last in Tucson?

Properly installed seamless aluminum gutters last 20–30+ years in Tucson. Aluminum doesn't rust, hidden hangers don't pull out, and seamless construction means no horizontal seams to leak. The most common failure mode is impact damage from fallen branches, not material failure.

04

How much does seamless gutter installation cost in Tucson?

We don't quote without measuring the roof. Pricing depends on linear footage of gutter runs, material gauge (.027 or .032 aluminum), downspout count and size, and color match. Most residential homes run 100–250 linear feet plus 2–4 downspouts. Drone measurement is free; written itemized quote within 48 hours.

05

Can you install gutters during a re-roof?

Yes — and this is the cleanest install path because we coordinate with the re-roof crew. Drip-edge metal sequences correctly with the gutter installation, and the new roof and new gutters are installed together with consistent flashing.

06

What size gutters do I need?

Depends on roof size, slope, and exposure. 5-inch K-style with 2x3 downspouts is residential standard for most Tucson homes. 6-inch K-style with 3x4 downspouts is the right call for larger roofs (3,000+ sq ft), steeper pitches, or homes with significant valley drainage. We size during the inspection.

07

Do you offer gutter guards?

TODO [HUMAN INPUT]: confirm whether Coronado offers gutter guards and which brand/system. Tucson palo verde and mesquite debris environments make gutter guards worthwhile in some homes — but they aren't always cost-effective and have to be sized correctly to handle monsoon volumes.
